I WILL

The mountain climber says, "I will climb the mountain. They've told me it's too high, it's too far, it's too steep,

it's too rocky, it's too difficult. But it's my mountain. I will climb it. You'll soon see me waving from the top or

you'll never see me, because unless I reach the peak, I'm not coming back." Who can argue with such resolve?

When confronted with such iron-will determination, I can see Time, Fate and Circumstance calling a hasty

conference and deciding, "We might as well let him have his dream. He's said he's going to get there or die trying."

The best definition for "resolve" I've ever heard came from a schoolgirl in Foster City, California. Many years ago,

I was lecturing about success to a group of bright kids at a junior high school. I asked, "Who can tell me what

"resolve" means?" Several hands went up, and I did get some pretty good definitions. But the last was the best.

A shy girl from the back of the room got up and said with quiet intensity, "I think resolve means promising yourself

you will never give up." That's it! That's the best definition I've ever heard: PROMISE YOURSELF YOU'LL NEVER

GIVE UP.

Think about it! How long should a baby try to learn how to walk? How long. would you give the average baby

before you say, "That's it, you've had your chance"? You say that's crazy? Of course it is. Any mother would say,

"My baby is going to keep trying until he learns how to walk!" No wonder everyone walks.

There is a vital lesson in this. Ask yourself, "How long am I going to work to make my dreams come true?" I suggest

you answer, "As long as it takes."

아주 높은 산이다.

아주 너무 어려운 산이다.

급경사만 있는 산이다. 암반 바위로 된 산이다.

너무나 먼 산이다.아주 가파른 산이다. 아주 건친 산이다.

그러나 내가 오를 산이다.

내가정상에서 솜을 흔드는 것을 볼 것이다.

혹은 정복해야할 산의 정상에서나를 보지 못할 수도 있다.

나는 정상정복에 도달하지 못하였기에 다시는 돌아 올수 없을 것이다.

이게 결심이다 성공에 이르는 결심.

죽을 각오로 나아거 성공을 쟁취하겠다

것이 결심이다. 달성할 때까지. 이룩할 때까지.

젖먹이 깟난쟁이 아기가 일어서고 걷는 모양자세을 보라.

걸을 수 있을 때까지 넘어지고 일어서고 다치는 것을 게속한다.

결코 멈추지를 않는다 물론 포기도 하지 않는다. 이게 '결심'이다.

영어에서 가장 위대한 두단어는 "I WILL"이다. 바로 나의 의지 나의 결심이다.
