우리 모두가 다 헬렌켈러처럼 그렇게 영원히 역사 속에 살아남아 오고오는 세대에 엄청난 영향력을 끼칠 수는 없다. 그렇다고 오늘의 헬렌이 되겠다고 3중고를 일부러 만들 필요도 없겠지만 또한 그럴수 있는 사람도 없을 것이다. 말도못하고 보지도못하고 듣지도못하는 그가 감히 감사를하였다. "나의 장애를 준 창조주에게 감사하노라. 내장애를 통해 내자신을만났고 내게주어진사명을알았고 더욱God의존재를 알게 되었다" 괴로운처절한비참한 그만의 현실을 감사했기에 그의 삶은 나날이 풍성해지고 더욱더 꽉찬 충만한 인생을 펼칠 수 있었다.
우리가 한 인생을 살아가면서 자신이나 이웃이나주변환경여건창조주에게 할 수 있는 말은 단 한마디 "감사"뿐이다. 그 감사를 입술로만 달고 다니는 것이 아니고 실제적인 행동으로 이어가는 것이다. "감사"가 성공의 직접적인 열쇠이건만 이를 못하고 있다. 감사하느것보다 더쉽고단순한것이 어디있는가
우리 모두는 너무나 잘 안다. 다들 줄둘이 꿰차고 있다. 감사가 감사를 낳는다. 조금을 감사한 거대함으로 되돌아 온다. 감사는 문제를 선물로 바꾼다. 감사는 실패를 성공으로 바꾼다. 감사는 거절을 승낙으로 바꾼다. 감사는 혼란을 질서로 바꾼다. 감사는 복잡을 단순으로 바꾼다. 감사는 실수를 중요한 계기로 바꾼다. 감사는 과거의 불행을 오늘의 안정으로 바꾸고 내일의 비젼을 창조 한다. 감사는 오늘의 난관을 극복케 한다. 감사는 스트레스를 경감한다. 감사는 우울함 날린다. 감사는또 다른 감사가 파도처럼 밀려오게 한다. 감사는 불경기를 극복하게 한다. 감사는재벌이 되게 하고 불평은 곤궁을 불러 들인다. 감사는 휼륭한 매너를 능가 한다. ...엄청나게 많은 것들이 하늘만큼 땅만큼 더 있을 것이다.
그 쉬운 감사가 않된다. 왜 그럴까.딱 한마디one line scenario로 표시하면 "늘없는것을본다_늘부족한것을본다_늘문제를본다_늘못하는것을본다_늘안되는것을본다_제한한계를먼저본다_어려운것을 먼저뜨올린다_'내주제'를깔고산다" 그러나 걱정할 것 없다. 전혀 없다. 내가나를보는눈 세상을바라보는자세를바꾸는 그 순간 정말 거짓말 같이 눈 앞이 환하게 밝아오고 마음은날개를 달고 정상으로 날아 오르기를 시작한다. 없는 게 뭐있는가. 전부 다 있다. 있는 것만 바라보라 그리고 감사하라. 성공은 그대 몫이다. 아인슈타인이 말했다. "세상에 인간은 2종류뿐이다. 세상에기적은없다는류와 모든게기적이라는부류다." 기적에감사하자. 기적이꼬리를물고떼거리로몰려올것이다.
