KFC할아버지의 켄터키 치킨 성공하기까지 몇번 실패의좌절을 맛보았는지 아시나요. 자그만치 1009회였습니다. '영혼의닭고기수우프 몇번이나 출판거절을 달하셨을까요. 디즈니랜드의 월트 디즈니는요. 역사는 실패가 만들어 낸 결과가 성공이란 이름으로 세상에 알려졌습니다. 실패할 테마가 있으신가요, 실패할 주제ㅔ가 있으신가요, 실패할 뚜렷한 영역을 갖고 계신가요....,

실패의 요체핵은 실패는 빠를스록 좋다. 실패의 비용이 적어야 한다. 실패에 치른 희새의댓가크면 힘든다. 실패로 얻은 성공의 핵심을 사용하기에 시기시간때가 안ㄹ 수 있다. 희생의 댓가를 만회하기에 지칠 수도 있다. 그러나 무엇보다 꼭 기억할 일은 실패가 주제가 아니되면 성공은 어렵다

I had a theme for 2012 and that was gratitude.

I've decided my theme for 2013 is FAILURE!

Not typically what you expect to read in an email toward the

end of a year when everyone is talking about resolutions,

goals and success, right?

Ironically, if "done" correctly failure will lead to a

whole bunch of reasons to be grateful!

Here's what I mean...

If I asked you to name some successful people you'd

easily be able to do that.

They'd come from all walks of life and have reached

all levels and definitions of success.

The one thing they'd have in common is that they all

failed and failed A LOT.

-Famous examples include the "Chicken Soup for The Soul"

book that was rejected by over 140 publishers before

one decided to give it a chance.

-Colonel Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame was turned

down 1009 times before someone bought his chicken recipe.

-Walt Disney was turned down 302 times before he got

financing for Disneyland.

-A baseball player has a spot in the Hall of Fame waiting

for him if he hits the ball just 4 times out of 10.

You get the idea.

Since you're on my list I know you have an interest

in improving your finances. Many of my readers

have part-time businesses or hobbies designed

to make them more money.

It can be done.

Everything you want in life and I mean EVERYTHING is

waiting for you on the other side of failure.

And I don't mean soul or spirit-crushing failure I

mean something as simple as someone telling you "no".

It took Colonel Sanders 2 years of driving around the

country to get 1009 rejections.

Today it would take you a few weeks (or less)

to get that many using the benefit of technology.

If you're struggling to earn extra money in whatever

way you've chosen to do it, assuming your product/service

actually helps people, the "secret" to turning it

around is to fail fast and fail cheap.

When NASA fails it costs millions of dollars.

You need to figure out a way that you can try things

quickly and inexpensively to earn extra money using

your chosen route.

I'm here to tell you that if you can figure out a way

to "fail"(intelligently) 100 times in the next

30-60 days you'll be a different person.

Fail 100 times every month and at the end of the

year your friends won't recognize the person

you've become. (neither will you)

I'd venture to say you shouldn't consider ANY income

opportunity that doesn't come with an easily

identifiable and reachable market that could

benefit from, use and afford your product or service.

(that's my wordy way of saying, don't get into

the swimming pool building business!)

Why? If "failure" involves talking to people

(as opposed to inventing the light bulb) you

want as many people to talk to as possible!
